Aureliano Oyarzún Navarro (b. 1858 – d. 1947)[1] was a Chilean physician, who succeeded Francisco Puelma Tupper as professor of pathology in the medical school of University of Chile in 1891[2] because of the Chilean Civil War of 1891, as Puelma was a supporter of President José Manuel Balmaceda.[3]
His office was later taken over by Emilio Croizet. He also participated in the War of the Pacific and the Chilean occupation of Lima. He also was a researcher of pre-Hispanic Chile and a prolific writer on the matter.[4]
